We partner with individuals and organizations who are committed to growth, cultivating essential skills to organize communities, disrupt systems of oppression, and intentionally advance equity.

While many partners come to us with a vision in mind, our work often begins with a pause: reflecting on how internal culture shapes every relationship, before communities are invited into partnership. This process is always responsive (or grounded) to the local context, climate, and existing realities.

Our body of work has intersected STEM-focused organizations, science communication, cultural institutions, government agencies, arts nonprofits, universities, private foundations, and individual leaders.

Every organization has its own unique realities, shaped by its people, history, and location. At Pueblo, we don’t bring prepackaged answers. We guide and co-design practices that make sense in your context. Our offerings are invitations, not prescriptions. Each can stand alone, or unfold as part of a larger journey.

Offerings

From Refraction to Reflection

Seeing your culture clearly so you can grow with intention.

Before we generate new ideas together, we pause to examine what’s already here. Who are the people at the heart of the work? What strengths are already present in the group? What current realities, tensions, or challenges are they navigating?

Culture assessments are a shared reflection that illuminates an honest picture of an organization’s (or team’s) culture before any significant investment in professional development or external engagement. Having a clear reflection and understanding of your existing culture allows for responsive strategies for community relationship building and alignment work that meet you where you are.

This isn’t about filling out checklists or producing; it’s about listening to one another, noticing patterns as a group, and naming what feels true, to build from together.

What This Unlocks:

  • More precise alignment between staff capacity and organizational goals.

  • Tailored growth strategies that are responsive, not generic.

  • Increased ownership among staff.

Reflecting upon the mirror of truth is a gift that can enable collective healing.

Internal Alignment

Building shared direction and responsibility that everyone shapes.

A strategic plan only matters if the people responsible for carrying it forward believe in it. A strategic plan only matters when the people involved feel a sense of ownership and believe in its direction.  We guide organizations through honest reflection about their past, present, and future, and invite all voices into the process of setting priorities for what comes next.

When programs or initiatives aren’t landing as intended, or when you’re setting new long-term goals on the horizon, we facilitate an honest, in-depth process that involves staff dialogue at all levels. Together, we chart a direction that feels real and actionable. Our approach builds shared ownership of the mission and a commitment to the priorities and the path forward.

What This Unlocks:

  • Strategic plans with measurable buy-in from every level of the organization.

  • A shared language and approach that guides decision-making.

  • Sustainable pathways for achieving ambitious goals.

When everyone can see themselves in the plan, it doesn’t sit on a shelf/collect dust lives in daily decisions and actions.

From Transaction to Relationship

Moving beyond outreach into lasting trust.

Many organizations want stronger ties with their neighbors, but struggle to move past one-time events or transactional outreach. We support partners in co-creating programs, experiences, and pathways that foster trust and nurture long-term relationships rooted in community organizing, co-creation, and culturally relevant programming.

What This Unlocks:

  • Trust earned and sustained with local communities.

  • Co-created programs that reflect community priorities.

  • Measurable increases in engagement and participation.

The goal isn’t attendance or numbers — it’s a genuine connection that sustains both the community and the institution.

Community Experience Facilitation

Holding space for complex and courageous conversations.

Whether in a retreat, town hall, or listening session, people need spaces where honesty, care, and nuance can co-exist. We bring our facilitation skills to create conditions where every voice matters, where hard truths can be spoken, and where new understanding can take root. This requires careful attention to process, effective listening skills, and a commitment to holding space for nuance.

What This Unlocks:

  • Conversations that deepen mutual understanding.

  • Practical next steps identified by the people most impacted.

  • A culture of dialogue that can weather disagreement.

These gatherings are not about quick fixes. They build the muscle of dialogue.

Equitable Leadership Development

Guiding leaders through a journey of growth.

Equitable leadership isn’t a destination — it’s a lifelong practice of unlearning, listening, and trying again. Through one-on-one coaching and leadership cohorts, we create supportive spaces where leaders can reflect, be challenged, and grow.

The work is tender, sometimes uncomfortable, but always rooted in care. We equip leaders with tools to navigate the journey of unlearning and growth. This is a safe space to explore new approaches to equity-driven leadership while practicing social and emotional awareness.

What This Unlocks:

  • Leaders are confident in navigating the challenges of inequity.

  • Increased retention and morale among diverse teams.

  • A ripple effect of equitable practices throughout the organization.

  • Leaders who lead with awareness, courage, and humanity.
